Shake Your Tail Feather

Peacocks Magazine Clippings Tunisia Garden Tim Walker

It’s Earth Day today so I’ve been thinking about nature. And one of the nature motifs of my life, the peacock, has been popping up again in the past week so I’ve gathered some feathery images. Isn’t a peacock the most stunning thing? (Apart from the noise, ahem). And you can just tell that he knows it too, showoff.

Peacocks have appeared in the form of amazing wire sculptures at Lakshmi Loves to Shop, smashing swimwear at Mason Bentley Style and as a royal vehicle in my post about Songkran. Here is more plumage of the pea variety:

Dita Von Teese shows us how to wear the colours of a peacock (check out her shoulder).

The beading on the dazzling shoe by René Caovilla below made me think of peacock feathers.

In the first image at top, photographed by Guillaume De Laubier, the peacocks are wandering around Leila Menchari‘s garden in Tunisia. It’s on my wish-list.

So much beauty can be found in our natural world. Happy Earth Day.
